My name is Yasmine Asaad. I'm a primary care physician and a public health and community medicine teaching assistant at the Faculty of Medicine, Zagazig University, Egypt. I have three years of medical experience and am passionate about health equity and community engagement. I enjoy working with the Civil society. I'm a Raymond A. Wood Foundation board member and a Director of the women's health program at Her Right To Education Initiative. I'm always looking to learn new things and do my best to become a future regional public health leader. I'm grateful to be a part of this internship program! I have been learning a lot of new things and enjoying my time at Assuaged Foundation.
Through this internship, I hope I gain experience about what it's like in non-profit work as I want to work in NPOs in the future. I also want to gain global public health work experience on all levels. I hope to contribute and collaborate with fellow interns and get the best out of this amazing experience!
