How To Make Cashew Milk
Each ingredient serves a substantial benefit in this recipe:
- Raw cashews, contrary to the belief that it causes weight gain, actually promotes heart health and prevents blood disease.
- The maple syrup gives the milk sweetness and texture and serves as a healthier alternative to sugar.
- The vanilla also gives the recipe a refreshing sweetness and is free from unnatural preservatives.
- The Himalayan pink salt provides a dash of additional flavor while giving the body its needed electrolytes.
Simply mix the ingredients all into a blender and start blending at the lowest speed, increasing intervals/speed for 1-2 minutes.
Next, just pour the mixture through a fine strainer, cheesecloth, or filtration bag into a mason jar or airtight container.
Finally, place the container in the refrigerator to chill for up to three days!
How Does Cashew Milk Taste?
Cashew milk tastes mild— but in the best possible way. It has a natural sweetness that brings out hints of nutty and salty flavors and has a clean finish in the mouth.
The best part is that no flavor completely dominates its taste or texture. Instead, all of the ingredients shine through.
And, better yet, cashew milk is one of the most environmentally friendly types of milk!
